Happy Friday and Happy Fall! In honor of the official start of autumn our Friday Favorites theme is fall fashion.
Fall is absolutely one of my favorite seasons! The crisp air after the hot sweltering summer feels refreshing, and while many reach for a sweater…I absolutely love to grab coat. Besides warmth, they offer a layer of fashion that can be either casual, professional or dressy – just change what’s underneath. One of my favorite styles is a trench coat. My go-to is a camel color one I’ve had for several years. However, a few weeks ago, one of my besties sent this to me with “this is so you, you HAVE to get it!” So…I may have 😉 I mean really, who could resist?
Laura – Dr. Scholl’s Slip On Sneakers
These Dr. Scholl’s slip-on sneakers are my favorite shoe for easing out of summer flats before transitioning to warmer winter boots. They are super comfy, last forever, and go with just about everything!
Rachel – Doc Marten Chelsea Boots
My absolute favorite fall fashion item is my Doc Marten Chelsea boots. I wear them basically everyday throughout the fall and winter because they keep my feet so warm, are comfortable, and are so cute. Actually, probably my favorite footwear of all time.
Cassidy – Slouchy Sweaters
Sweater weather is here! I especially love tunic length, slouchy sweaters that I can pair with leggings & boots so I can feel comfortable while still looking put together.
I always tell clients to add not just interior spaces to their Pinterest page they want me to see, but also add some clothing or meals as well. Fashion gives a good indicator of overall style and gives some insight as to who you are, what colors you like (typically the same for your home) and how formal/casual you are. There are so many things that overlap from fashion to interior design. A new season is a great way to try new things, and see if you like them. Not ready to commit to a whole new wardrobe for the season? Then just try a trendy scarf…same with your home. Not ready to invest in a whole new sofa…add a throw or pillows in the new print you want to try.
