Preserving the Past

Salon Iris is an independently owned hair salon born out of a passion to provide exceptional hair services for men and women, specializing in curly hair. This renovation was a mixed use space from residential and encompasses the salon on the first floor and a beautifully renovated apartment on the second floor. The structure, originally a 1905 Victorian home, was renovated to preserve as much of the original building as possible. 

Warm and Inviting

The interior doors, trim, door & window casing were all salvaged during demo and reused in the new layout. The original floors were repaired and refinished. The interior was a mix of modern traditional while keeping with the historic nature of the building. Added arched openings serve as the stylist stations along with period appropriate wallcovering. Updated decorative lighting was added to elevate the space and leave it feeling charming but current.

The salon is warm and inviting, a relaxing experience that envelopes you in serenity and evokes a sense of calm.
