The Siloh

Kitchen:

This builder grade kitchen renovation in western Lehigh Valley was a necessity for this family. They take the term foodie to a new level with their cookbook and dried pepper collection. Their passion for food and cooking is tangible, as well as their unique style that incorporates color and antiques seamlessly into their home.

Function was top priority for this upgrade without doing a full renovation. A new hood was a must as the original didn’t function properly. Upgrading the sink, counter and backsplash material helped with functionality as well as upgrading the look. Keeping all the cabinetry in place, we extended it to the ceiling and custom made a shelf unit above the refrigerator that integrated seamlessly into the rest of the cabinetry. This not only gave an elevated look but gave the space visual height.

Adding a new section of cabinetry that included a built-in microwave under a large shelving unit that now houses the cookbook and pepper collection is an organized, colorful way. This area serves several functions while also providing a place for the client to express themselves in a creative way.

This renovation is a great reminder that big impact can be made without a full gut renovation project. We were thankful to visit this space again and receive some special home made jam from the client. A full circle moment that solidified that space functioned well for them and their young family.
