1st Annual Gingerbread Bake Build Off
The FD Design Gingerbread Design Competition & Exhibition is a fun and tasty way to highlight great works of edible architecture while spreading holiday cheer. This exhibition raises funds for the Pennsylvania Chapter of Savvy Giving by Design while challenging designers to explore a sweet new medium. All donations made will be tax deductible. There are two divisions of our competition: Professional and Amateur.

Our exhibition will be open to the public to view gingerbread houses crafted by the best in the industry on Thursday December 19th.
When my brother was diagnosed with a brain tumor that he battled for a little over a year, I had no idea of the implications or that it would cut his life so short. I had to grow up knowing that life is fleeting and precious and that one is not guaranteed to see elderly years.
To honor my brothers memory, I chose to start the Philadelphia Chapter of Savvy Giving by Design. I chose Savvy because of its full renovation model that includes specialty elements for the spaces needed for their recovery, healing and overall health as well as make some updates to their siblings spaces. My heart has always gone out to siblings similar to my younger self who are scared, without their parent and worried about their sibling. Being able to give these spaces means so much to me and the families.
